Farm Fresh Cider

Snowbird Farm & Cidery

Welcome to

Montesano, Washington

Snowbird Farm & Cidery is Grays Harbor's first cidery, producing quality craft hard cider using fresh farm ingredients. Originally Glenngarry Dairy Farm, this farmstead has been a part of the community for over one hundred years and maintains the original house, barn, and fields. The quaint, recently restored dairy barn provides ambiance to your experience and is the perfect backdrop while sipping delicious cider.

We are a family-friendly establishment, and we invite you to bring a picnic and enjoy our property while you sample our ciders. We offer ciders by the glass, flights, and growlers. Additionally, the farm produces fresh vegetables and herbs, which can be found in our farm stand. Sheep, goats, and chicks are also raised and sold on the property.

The Glengarry Farm

Experience the newly restored Glengarry Dairy Barn, originally built in 1917 and now listed on the Washington Historic Barn Registry. The Edwards family spent three years restoring the barn and received a restoration grant from the Department of Archaeology & Historic Preservation to help in the restoration.

The Edwards worked hard on restoring the barn, which included lifting the structure to reconstruct the foundation, adding extra support, and replacing deteriorated shiplap with locally sourced materials. Almost three years later, the barn restoration is nearly complete. They now look forward to finishing the final details and inviting visitors to enjoy this historic landmark in Grays Harbor County.

About Us

Inhabitants of the far north are very familiar with the migration of snowbirds. They arrive eagerly each spring and fly south before the frigid winter arrives. After living in Fairbanks, Alaska, for over thirty years, Raeann and Duncan Edwards decided to imitate the snowbirds and migrate back to Raeann's family’s hometown of Montesano, WA. Their years of experimenting and perfecting cider-making propelled their dream of opening Snowbird Farm & Cidery to take flight.

The welcoming community feel of Snowbird Farm & Cidery is inspired by Raeann's parents, who would go on weekend drives and loved stopping at small unique places they found on their journey. They especially enjoyed seeking out small businesses where they could visit with the owners, experience the local fares, and get a sense of the community.

The Edwards made a place their parents would like to stop if they were driving through Grays Harbor County, creating an atmosphere of community and family by providing a nostalgic farm setting where people are welcome to gather and enjoy delicious locally crafted cider, picnics, local products, and farm activities. Stop in, say hello, play with the animals, and taste Snowbird Farm & Cidery's excellent ciders.
